Today was my first Summer in the City here in Memphis...it was amazing! Many refugees have moved here to the city from different nations around the world. Different languages were spoken today and it was just such an incredible experience to be part of. The college and career at Faith Baptist started this ministry last year and is being done again this year, hopefully turning into a long term ministry. How cool it is to have traveled to different countries and be at home with have the nations here! Please pray for this ministry and for the families that we come in contact with...that relationships will be formed and wisdom will be given as to how to build sweet relationships! Thank you!

Happy 4th of July!! Well today is the day I head home! Right now I am sitting at the hotel near the pool...cant say it I am suffering :) There are parrots and deer here at the hotel..wierd combination. Yesterday in the morning we said goodbye to the children... tears came from Megan, Amy, and me. Please Pray for one of the treacher's, Lorvin, at the HCN... a famliy member is sick. My journey in Nicaragua is coming to an end and God has allowed me to experience a lot....I believe God wants to use experiences here to learn from them and grow. God allowed sweet friendships to be built during this time and that is such a sweet blessing and gift from God. Thank you to all who have prayed for me during this journey... that is a sweet gift! I will keep up with the blog... I am excited to get back to Memphis and be part of Summer in the City...it will be so neat to be with people from around the world who live in the city. Have a wonderful 4th and be proud to be American!
